Luckily I bought extra brackets during a recent purchase through Marco Specialties, the bracket was replaced. Once removing both sides of the optos (receiver and transmitter) I discovered the opto that is located next to the drop targets, its bracket was cracked and broken. After adjusting all the switches, cleaning and repositioning the optos, the problem still occurred. Doing this allows the switch to be triggered more easily once the ball passes under it. I also adjusted the two switches on the ramp by loosening the screws and positioning the switch forward. I tested the two switches on the ramp and also the optos in switch test mode through the diagnostics of the machine and everything seemed to work. As I was diagnosing the problem, I realized that the two switches on the left handside of the ramp also work in conjunction with the optos that are located above the top left hand flipper.Once the ball goes up the bear kick ramp, the next two switches trigger the thing flips feature, then once the ball passes the optos, thing flips and activates. I was having an issue with the thing flips feature on my Addams Family pinball machine. I replaced the two optos (receiver and transmitter) and now Thing Flips works perfectly. I did my own testing and figured it out that the optos above the top left flipper were intermittently working and not working. All the switches and optos worked fine during the testing. I tested all the switches and optos in the switch testing mode on the Addams Family pinball machine. I was having intermittent issues with the activation of Thing Flips on my Addams Family pinball machine.
